Gospel musician Tatenda Mahachi is urging church-goers and leaders to return to the basic principles of Christianity this Easter through his latest single “Endai Naizvozvo”.
The song was drawn from the scriptures in which Jesus commands his disciples to go and preach the gospel of Christ to all parts of the world and baptise them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
“The song is a message to Christians who are deviating from Jesus Christ’s instructions that centre on love and unity. I want churches to be born again.
“Churches are now into business of fighting and competing with each other. Now in newspapers we read of some church members rioting and taking each other to courts, which is not good,” said Mahachi.
Mahachi encourages churches to love each other and work together as all of them are serving one master who is God.
The song is off his forthcoming six- track album titled “Rega Kumhanya” due for release in August.
There is great coordination between the song’s beat and the lyrical content.
The single was produced by Russel Chiradza affectionately known as Russo at This is Records.
Mahachi’s previous song “Ndibvumbamirei” of which features Afrojazz sensation Prudence Katomeni-Mbofana is doing well at Power FM’s gospel chart show.
Mahachi ventured into music in 2007 when he released his first album titled “Miyedzo which was followed by “Kure” of 2010.
In his musical career Mahachi has worked with the likes of MacDonald Chidavaenzi aka McDee and Pastor G.
