SIMBA Bhora may be carrying a one-goal advantage into their second-leg CAF Champions League preliminary round clash against Nsingizini Hotspurs of Eswatini at Somhlolo National Stadium on Sunday, but the players are under no illusions, the job is far from done.

The reigning Zimbabwean champions hold a slender 1–0 lead from the first leg, thanks to an Ishmael Nyanhi strike at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown, Botswana. They now aim to complete the double and progress to the next round when the two teams meet again.

Simba Bhora’s players are well aware of the task ahead.
Midfielder Butholezwe Ncube said: “I would like to thank the Simba Bhora family for the support last Sunday. Preparations have gone well and we have to push each other as a team. We have to work hard since we are playing away from home. The senior players and young players are pushing each other in a positive way. Hopefully, we continue to get the same support we got in the first leg.”

Midfield general Never Tigere added: “I am happy to be at this club and the team is happy for the first win, but the job is not done. The job is not yet done as we are not yet through. My call is to the supporters to give us the same support that they gave us in Botswana. We want to keep pushing and make sure we win the game.”

Youngster Tavonga Kuleya who joined the club recenty from Europe also expressed his growing confidence: “I am adjusting well, making new friends and enjoying my football. My expectation is to win the next game and play in the next round.”

Should Simba Bhora advance, they will face Tanzanian giants Simba SC a blockbuster tie that could further elevate their ambitions on the continental stage.
