Jah Prayzah has had Zimbabwean music in a spin this week after he clocked over a million views for his song Watora Mari in less than a week of its release.
The glossy video in collaboration with Diamond Platinumz seems to have achieved the desired results, with the help of the Tanzanianas star power.
The over a million views threshold, a feat previously unattained by any one Zimbabwean music video is what Jah can brag about.
It goes beyond the internet, MTV Base and Trace TV aA 24 hours music video stations have it on rotation.
However, in the midst of all the heady celebrations of Jah Prayzahas achievement, it is also important to note other videos that have come close to attaining this landmark.
One such is Joseph Garakaraas 2011 release, Idya Banana, which stands almost at 986 000 total views.
Not far off from that is two months old Tytan and Ammara Brownas Mukoko with 920 000 views.
The twoas collaborative effort is made all the more special by that they were working on a lesser budget and with an all-Zimbabwean cast.
No Zimbabwean music list of any sort is complete without Oliver Mtukudzi, who could have gone over the million mark had his video for the song Todii not been blocked by Merlin on Copyright grounds. It currently stands at over 916 000 views.
The Lady Storm powered video for Eriza, another one of Jahas song clocks in at over 825 000 views. .
