There are unions that we regret having entered into while many of the situations around us may be so bad that we hope we could escape even from life itself.
It could be a phase in time that we are passing through. Maybe there are situations we got into because of our birth, marriage or our work.
It could be because of the environment that we grew up in or currently live in. It could even be because of a court ruling, Government policy or economic situation.
It can be because of the people around us or even our church. It can be out of our life experiences or an event in life that influenced us heavily and profoundly.
Things happen in life and you cannot control everything that happens around you in as much as it concerns you. As a result, your life can experience a big change, your outlook to life affected and your hope for the future destroyed.
This is perhaps the reason why some people commit suicide. Acknowledging your limitations is one great step to living a happy and satisfying life.
Many people allow themselves to be stressed by things that are beyond their control.
Life becomes full of grief, sorrow and boredom. You may have the desire to change something but some situations are just beyond your capacity, in fact many situations require the divine intervention to turn around.
Only God can bring about a solution to many of the problems we face today, not only as individuals but as nations and the world.
For example, the recession hit the world’s economic powerhouses. That showed the failure of a system, the Babylonian system.
The greatest economies crumbled and nobody had a clue as to what to do. Many lost jobs, corporations lost money, leaders were stranded and people lost hope.
Not even their central banks had clues on how to get out of the quagmire. Even action taken was all speculative.
No one could come up with a proper strategy to get out of it. Economists could only analyse and predict but offer no solutions.
This can happen at a personal level. A French billionaire took his life after losing so much in the recession.
This is a sign of lost hope and shattered dreams. It is different however for somebody who believes in some high power.
Even atheists speak of nature and its laws. Christians trust in God and the other religions look up to some being for solutions when things go beyond human comprehension and influence.
If we could do everything, then why would we pray to God? Acknowledge your ceiling and learn to give up your burdens to God, no matter what you call him.
God knows how far you can go and he would never jet in if he knows you haven’t thought deep enough.
He gave you the brains showing he does not want to do everything for you. He gave you other people so that you can consult before you rush to him like a toddler.
Many are weak in terms of their faith. God wants to challenge you like he did Job. He has given you an independent will power to fuel you to whatever destiny you intend to reach.
God does not initiate things for you, but he intervenes. He wants to start where you end, he wants you to maximise your potential and when you are depleted, he then comes in to support.
This applies to solving your problems and pursuing your dreams. Do not try to abuse God.
Do you think God did not want us to drive cars? So why did he put the iron that is used to manufacture the car in a stone underground?
Do you think God did not want us to wear clothes? So why did he put material for the jeans and suits in plants and on animals?
That is cotton and wool. God wants you to think, he wants you to discover things.
Do not be in the habit of wanting to be given what others worked for. Somebody discovered the electricity that you cry for today.
Somebody invented the money that you kill each other for today. Somebody wrote the books that you want to be given for free.
A dependency mentality is a sure route to poverty. A give me attitude is sure route to lacking. There is power in you to change. Even if God is to help, there is a condition to it, the condition of faith, and your faith not God’s faith.
The power of faith is in you, the power to change things in prayer is in you, and the power to fast and change things is in you.
The power to think solutions is in you, the power to work yourself to success is in you.
The most important things is, are you willing to work for it. The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.
You may blame your parents for your situation today, you may blame your teacher in school, you may blame the Government, you may blame you spouse or friends, you may blame anyone, but now that you have realised they messed you, what have you done.
What are you going to do about it? All these people may be responsible were you are, but now that you know, now that you have arrive, what are you going to do about it?
In you is power to change, in you lies the person responsible. You are the person that you have been waiting for and if you do not take personal responsibility to change, and then you deserve it and do not complain.
Remember that there is only divine intervention, not divine initiation, God will not do the donkey work for you because he has given you the power to change your life.
That power is in you in the same way it is in someone else. Start today, you have the power.
Hope you were inspired. See you next week and we become better people. Only better people can be better leader. Stay inspired and never give up.
