The Sharpshooter
Fear of electoral loss is gripping those disillusioned by how Cde ED has hit the ground running.
The ever-present prospect of losing election after election for 17 years and counting is understandable but Zimbabwe is a sovereign and democratic nation under Cde ED and it will utilise the BVR system as a sovereign nation.
After the revolution that started on November 14, 2017 when the Zimbabwe Defence Forces rolled into town, the new Republic does not need the negativity of the G40 putchist cabal and other die hard naysayers who bent on thawing the optimism that engulfed all peace-loving and progressive citizens.
We are at war.
But this time, we are at war with an economy that has been spiralling downwards and needs all hands on deck to make things right.
We are at war with criminals who looted State resources just because they had wriggled close to Cde Robert Mugabe.
We are at war with pessimists and doom mongers whose tweeted nonsense stinks to high heaven.
When at war, it’s simple; we get out finest men and women to the forefront and thrust our tried and trusted into the deep end to achieve dearly needed quick wins.
This is not a game for the weak, faint-hearted and inexperienced; it’s a war for blue-bloods who are prepared for the long haul.
There is certainly no time for petty and trivial discussions about who is where and why.
If you remember very well the chilling reminder of Major-General Sibusiso Busi Moyo when he went in national TV that dawn in November: “We are targeting criminals around him (former President Robert Mugabe)”.
The new administration is doing just that.
It has started weeding out the criminal elements and in their place, Cde ED has appointed cadres of fortitude until the next elections.
All these conspiracy theories that are flying hither and thither accusing Zanu-PF of hijacking a people’s revolution are the machinations of the ousted putchist cabal that continues to fight losing battle after losing battle all in desperate bid to disrupt and cast doubt on the popular Operation Restore Legacy.
Please, let us get on with our lives peacefully.
The buck began with Zanu PF and it stops within Zanu-PF. Anyone interested in political power should contest elections. Cde ED has the mandate, plain and simple.
So when the new Cabinet was announced last week, it had everything to do with Cde ED, his mandate, and his vision for a prosperous Zimbabwe.
Period!
For the new cabinet establishing election integrity is a cornerstone of our modern democracy that promotes trust and honesty in elected governments and promotes confidence and faith in elected leaders, therefore worrywarts and prophets of doom should prepare for war on the electoral battlefield.
Do not be fooled by armchair cynics who seem well adjusted on social media but are so impractical to the extent that they have not yet registered to vote.
Vachingovukura on social media.
The new Cabinet is embarking on serious business to get this country back on track and gain the confidence of the electorate ahead of the 2018 elections.
Dubulaizitha!
