Mr Mupfumi, who operates Chinjekure Enterprises, was away when the incident occurred and he had to be called to find his house in The Grange literally empty. Two plasma television sets, one upright refrigerator, microwave, blankets and other items were stolen. Police spokesperson Inspector Tedious Chibanda confirmed the incident saying investigations were in progress.
“Property worth close to US$7 800 was stolen and the incident occurred on Sunday between 10 am and 4pm when the maid and the gardener were away,” he said.
Mr Mupfumi has offered to pay any informers who assist in the recovery of the stolen property a US$1 000 reward.
