Thieves ransack Ruwa house, steal forex, cellphones, laptops

POLICE in Harare are looking for two men who broke into a house in Ruwa and stole various items, including foreign currency, clothing, laptops and cellphones.

The robbers used a stone and small axe to gain entry into the house before making off with their loot.

“Police are investigating a case of robbery in which two suspects armed with a stone and a small axe pounced on a house along Nzou Crescent, Windsor, Ruwa, where they stole US$10 610, 1 700 Zambian Kwacha, R2 500, £50 and 200 000 Tanzanian Shillings as well as a laptop, four cellphones, five pairs of takkies and two school bags,” said the police in a statement.

Police in Bulawayo are investigating the theft of US$29 000 from a shop manager who was on his way home.
