AUTHORITIES at Epworth Polyclinic District have revealed that family planning tablets, worth US$540, were stolen when thieves broke into the clinic’s pharmacy on Monday.
Pharmacy manager, Marshall Mashaka (27), said he received a report from Magdalena Mavhunga, a dispensary assistant, that there had been a theft at the clinic.
She reported that the alarm system was deactivated and that a duplicate key was used to open both the main door and the screen door.
Mavhunga said a box containing 1,080 packs of 28 blisters of Control L tablets was taken.
Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza could not be reached for comment at the time of writing. However, H-Metro understands that the matter was reported at Epworth Police Station under RRB 6875716.
