Dynamos have launched their mid-season recruitment drive with the signing of Burkina Faso winger Ben Daouda Sidibe.
The 26-year-old attacker joins from Ghanaian top-flight side Aduana FC and becomes the first arrival under new coach Aristica Cioaba.
Sidibe’s move was confirmed yesterday by Aduana FC, who announced that the player had completed a permanent transfer to the Zimbabwean football giants.
The signing is widely viewed as a strategic acquisition by Cioaba, who previously worked with the Burkinabe international during his stint at the Ghanaian club.
The Romanian coach has repeatedly indicated his desire to build a squad capable of implementing his preferred style of football, which places a premium on possession, speed and attacking play.
Sidibe’s profile appears to fit that vision perfectly.
Dynamos are understood to be targeting at least four foreign players during the transfer window as they seek to add quality and depth to a squad that has shown significant improvement since Cioaba’s arrival.
To create room for the anticipated arrivals, the club have already sent striker Jairos Kasondo and midfielder Enasio Perezo out on loan.
While Dynamos officials yesterday declined to comment on ongoing transfer business, sources close to the club indicated that negotiations with several Ghanaian players are at an advanced stage, with an official unveiling of new recruits expected soon.
Sidibe arrives in Harare with a strong pedigree from the Ghana Premier League.
He joined Aduana FC from fellow Ghanaian side Medeama SC ahead of the 2025/26 season and quickly established himself as an influential member of the squad.
Renowned for his pace, direct attacking play and tireless work ethic, the winger played a key role in Aduana’s sixth-place finish in the league.
His ability to stretch defences and create opportunities from wide areas earned him recognition as one of the competition’s standout foreign players.
In a statement confirming the transfer, Aduana FC wished the player well as he embarks on a new challenge in Southern Africa.
“Aduana Football Club can confirm the permanent transfer of Ben Daouda Sidibe to Zimbabwean giants Dynamos FC.
“Everyone at Aduana FC wishes you all the best as you begin a new chapter with Dynamos FC,” the club said.
Before joining Aduana, Sidibe also featured for Basake Holy Stars and Medeama SC, where he further enhanced his reputation as a dynamic winger capable of unsettling opposition defences.
The attacker began his career in his native Burkina Faso with FC Kadiogo before moving to Ghana, where he developed into one of the most experienced foreign players in the domestic top flight.
Since arriving in Ghana, Sidibe has amassed 68 Premier League appearances across his spells with Basake Holy Stars, Medeama and Aduana FC.
