Thieves steal laptops from a girls hostels in Mutare

Unknown thieves broke into a girls’ hostels at St Matthias Tsonzo High School in Mutasa, Manicaland, before stealing seven laptops that were being charged.

The incident occurred on July 29, 2025. Police have since launched investigations into the case.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident in a statement.

“The ZRP is investigating cases of unlawful entry into premises and theft which occurred at St. Matthias Tsonzo High School, Mutasa, on July 29, 2025, where a suspect broke into the girls’ hostels and stole seven laptops that were on a charging system.

Anyone with information to report at the nearest police station.”
