AN outlaw wife teamed up with her lover to beat the lights out of her husband and mother-in-law for questioning her a?thievinga? tendencies.
Mackson Khupe now knows not to interfere in his wifeas shameful deeds.
a?I was disheartened to know that my wife is a thief,a? he said.
He said Sikhathele Moyo, his wife of 17 years had gained a reputation as a goat thief and villagers would approach him with complaints.
a?I was approached by people several times claiming to have caught my wife stealing their goats. When I tried to advise her to stop stealing she got upset, took off and didnat come back home that day,a? he added.
But Khupe by then had already lost control of his wife to an extent that she would cheat on him openly and he would do nothing about it. What remained was for the boyfriends to disrespect him and that happened after he tried to reprimand her for stealing.
On her return she brought her boyfriend to teach him a lesson.
a?She came the following day in the company of her boyfriend armed with a log and he attacked my mother and I without saying much,a? said Khupe.
Despite this disrespectful act, he still loves her.
a?My wife has cheated on me on a number of occasions and I have even come to know of the affairs but I love her,a? he said.
As if there was no problem at all, Moyo returned to her matrimonial home for the funeral of her five-year-old son who had drowned.
This was a surprise because when she left earlier, her husband sought to resolve the matter with the assistance of village head Maphikisa Dube who urged them to keep peace. However, she decided to leave.
On her return she laid all the blame on the village head. She accused him of breaking up her marriage during a family meeting. She wanted him beaten up.
a?I told my relatives to assault Dube because I still love my husband despite cheating on him and stealing. I felt Dube was trying to draw us apart,a? Moyo told B-Metro.
