Things to do after tests

THE main focus to many schools has been on public examinations. There are various examinations under a number of examinations bodies.

However, as the academic year winds out, many students are done with their examinations. Junior level students are writing their end of term tests.

Public examinations students finish their examinations and go home. On the other hand, junior students complete their test but still remain at school.

The term continues and learning goes on. Do students pay much attention to their studies at this time of the year?
What then do they do? What are the possible activities they can do?

Most students at this time they are bored while at school. Students always look forward to relaxation after examinations.

Teachers struggle to motivate many students, especially when they are looking forward to the following academic year.

Let the students celebrate that they have come to the end of the year. Let the news sink in and celebrate their achievements.

Let the students plan ahead and take necessary actions based on the test results. How have you performed in your tests?

Good results boosts students’ confidence as they head towards the new academic year.

Let the students relax. Get some rest or watch a movie to unwind. They can connect with others, spend time with friends or family. They can stay active by doing something outside or engage in physical activity. Students need to reflect by considering what they have learned and plan for the future.

Where finances permit, you can go to a famous city, travel to many other tourist resorts, which are dotted right round the country.

Watch your favourite TV series and enjoy films. As for the girls, you can cook a meal together.

Relax, do not think about how your tests went. Play games with friends.

Now that the world is a global village, you can learn foreign languages, which might come in handy when you visit other countries.

You might want to enrol in foreign universities as the trend nowadays. Engage in fun activities.

Read a book for pleasure, watch movies or engage in hobbies you enjoy.

Plan for the future. Think about your next steps, whether it is preparing for future tests or setting new goals.
Take care of yourself. Ensure you get enough rest and engage in self-care activities to recharge. These activities can help your survival and prepare for what comes next.

The nice thing is you do not need to think about those now. Take a good break from the studies.
Do not think about how your examination went or what the result will be. What’s done is done. Stressing out will not change your score.

After the hectic days of examinations, full of tension and stress, it is time to have fun. If you are feeling lethargic, plan some fun escapades post-examination. Put away all your books, texts or papers.
