Come on Lady Chevrons! THIS COULD BE OUR FINEST HOUR

THE Lady Chevrons stand on the threshold of writing a glorious chapter in their history today.

All they need is to beat Ireland at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates to secure a maiden appearance at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa later this year.

The Lady Chevrons secured their place in the semi-finals, which represents the penultimate hurdle to be cleared, by winning their group, despite a shock four-wicket defeat, in their last match, to the UAE, on Wednesday evening.

Victory today will cap a remarkable resurgence for the country’s second most popular sporting discipline.

The Chevrons have been flexing their muscles since the arrival of coach Dave Houghton, and cheered the spirits of the world by beating powerhouse Australia, Down Under.
