As teammates celebrated a historic championship success, the Warriors winger’s heart was with his late daughter, who passed away in March at only two months old.
In an emotional message that touched many football fans, Msendami posted a picture of himself with his late daughter on his WhatsApp status accompanied by heartbreaking words:
“This is for you my child,” he posted on his WhatsApp status.
For the soft-spoken Zimbabwean international, the title was more than just a medal, it was a painful reminder of a season that has tested him both professionally and personally.
Msendami joined Orlando Pirates at the start of the campaign from Marumo Gallants hoping to take his career to another level at one of the continent’s biggest clubs.
But just months into his dream move, tragedy struck when he lost his baby daughter.
