Three juveniles arrested over murder

FIVE suspects including, three juveniles aged 15, 16 and 17 have been arrested in Chiredzi on allegations of attacking and killing a 27-year-old man at a masowe shrine following an argument over an unknown iissue.

The five, including the other two men aged 19 and 20, who are still assisting police with investigations are alleged to have stabbed the victim once under the left armpit with a sharp object and he died on the spot.

They were in the company of two other suspects who are still at large.

National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident

“The ZRP has arrested three male juveniles aged 15, 16 and 17 and two male adults aged 19 and 20 in connection with a murder case which occurred at Labamba Village, Mkwasine, Chiredzi, on January 14, 2022.

“The five suspects together with two others, still at large, attacked a man aged 27 at a masowe  shrine over an unknown dispute. One of the suspects stabbed the victim once under the left armpit with a sharp object, resulting in the death of the victim,” he said.
