TikTok empowers gospel artist

FEW seconds is all it takes for a viewer to like a TikTok post or share it with their friends, but for an artist, it can change their lives forever.

For many unknown musicians, this is a dream come true.

Through TikTok, new artists have more accessibility to a music career than ever before, creating an impact that stretches across the entire musical community.

Upcoming gospel musician, Talent Machiwona, who is known as Pastor Joseph Machie, went viral last week when his mother recorded a song begging him to get married.

H-Metro caught up with the artist.

He recorded a song, Joze Chiroora, featuring Maria Takawira.

The song was then featured on his third album, Alpha and Omega, which was released on Monday.

“My mother called me saying that I must get married because she is getting old.

“I took that as an opportunity, I wrote the lyrics and asked my mother to feature me on a new song.

“I was born in a family of 10 children, making me the last born,” he said.

He started his musical journey in 2004 and has three albums to date.

The visuals of Joze Chiroora will be released tomorrow.
