Timbaland for Durban show

celebration concert in Harare at the weekend, Durban fans, who had already bought their tickets to the ZARFest Tour, were “anxious” to see the US rap star.
Fans were furious when Timbaland did not show up to perform at the Borrowdale Racecourse in Harare on Saturday.
ZAR club owner “sushi king” Kenny Kunene, yesterday promised that Timbaland would definitely be performing at Durban’s King’s Park Stadium.
Timbaland arrived at Durban’s Hilton Hotel yesterday with his wife Monique Idlett and two children, and joined other international acts on the bill to perform at the nightclub chain’s birthday bashes touring the country.
Kunene said Timbaland had a technical problem with his private jet and had to land on the island of Bermuda and therefore missed the Zimbabwe concert.
“He (Timbaland) unfortunately missed the gig because of circumstances that we could not help, unfortunately for Zimbabwean fans,” he said.
Timbaland will be joined by US hip-hop star Lil’ Kim, R&B singer Ciara, and rapper Fat Joe who all promised to give fans the best performances of their lives, with world-renowned DJ Scratch “doing his thing on the tables”.
The musicians added that the Durban concert would set the pace for the performances to follow in Cape Town and Johannesburg this week.
“Fans can expect a lot of energy and a fun-filled performance guaranteed for satisfaction.
“Although I didn’t come with my full band, fans can look forward to an amazing show,” Ciara said. – Sowetan.
