Time to see some shame

with Bra Gee
Good riddance to bad rubbish! That is our verdict on the verdict of the despicable and arrogant rapist. We will not quibble about him getting more years. We think those are quite enough because by the time he gets out, we doubt he will be able to do any damage to anything, female, male or inanimate.

Now we are worried about the harem. No we do not have dirty minds and we are not thinking of what they were doing in the scintillating tapes and photos that the justice system officers got to ogle, all in the name of duty of course.  Rather we are concerned with domestic administrative matters.

So who becomes the head of the home now? Who do they apply to for permission to watch TV and other such important activities? Or does it become a free for all where each woman is for herself and the devil take the homeless ones? For which woman will keep the competition in her home, now that the man is out of orbit?

And who will lead the church? Does it still exist? Is there still a woman out there who will stand up and say I am Pastor Gumbura’s sheep while hubby stands smiling at her side? As for whether the women will wait, why on earth should they? But again what if the man wins his appeal and comes back even more loaded than before?

And some other regulars say that after life with the pastor, the wives may find the rest of mankind rather boring. After all, own up guys, how many can achieve the seven crimes he boasted of, just once in one night, never mind as repeat offences?

Okay so maybe we are a bunch of cynical borderline blasphemous drunks, but the regulars would really like to know how a man with a dying son just so happens to so conveniently get time to pose for a perfect Photo bucket moment after successfully evading the Gitmo type security surrounding the holy of holies. Try another trick sir for we have seen through this one. And please do tell us about the medical team. What did they specialise in at school, mere scientific medicine or miraculous diagnosis?

Speaking of Guantanamo and we enter into the murky but hilarious world of international politics. Is it really possible to be an American diplomat and hold your head up in the modern era? We know that dear Bruce and company try, but really it must be getting hard to maintain that holier-than-thou hypocrisy.

What with the latest international relations boob as yet another leak exposes the American diplomats for the sanctimonious two-faced you-know-whats they are. Surely, like journalists they have no friends, just partners they often stab in the back.

But we digress from the more important matters that keep the drink flowing here at the usual place. What does a body have to do to deserve a bonus every month? Is the 13th cheque now an obsolete gesture? We are immediately going to our bosses and asking to be paid our bonuses on a daily basis to ensure that we always have something to hand over to the barman.

And finally we get to the question that the whole nation has been asking the whole week: What skeletons are buried at town house which the removal of the horses would expose? We can hear them rattling loudly in the cupboards even as little pieces of bone pop out of doors whose latches are groaning and loosening.

Will the white head prove to belong to a wonder man who can stop an earthquake and single handedly stop the avalanche of the expulsion of the bad bosses?

Then there is a word that we would like to teach the fellows making page one these days. It is called SHAME. Whatever happened to the common decency of long ago when people were embarrassed by public exposure instead of becoming more brazen with each expose? Could it be that these people were never taught this five letter word by their mothers, fathers and church elders?

We will remedy that gap right here with help from merriam-webster.com:

Now that the greedy guzzlers plundering the nation’s life blood know what we mean can we see some expression of shame and not the arrogance that we are getting right now? We hope by next week, a few trickles of apologies accompanied by returned loot will be making their way into the public domain and coffers, with a respectable commission dedicated to the Drinkers’ Eternity Slush Fund in due recognition of our advocacy.

Till then, bottoms up!
