“God has given us the power to pray for our nation. As a church, we are always praying for our nation, Zimbabwe. Peace is our everyday mandate. We love Zimbabwe as our nation, and always pray for peace in our country to continue to prevail.” As social challenges in various communities continue to torment souls, the Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe will help people seek divine solutions through a revival that begins in Harare today.The AFM’s Avenues World Worship Assembly, a division of AFM which caters for those in Harare’s Central Business District and the Avenues area, has a three-day revival which begins today.
Running under the theme “Possess”, the revival is expected to attract many congregants.
Brian Kudita, the pastor in charge of AFM’s AWWA was yesterday optimistic that the revival would achieve its mission to assist congregants in their fight against the devil.
“Many people suffer because of ignorance.
‘‘As church we are working very hard to teach the congregants to have a spiritual war to claim what belongs to them,” Pastor Kudita said.
The AFM pastor said his church was working hard to help congregants realise that through the power of prayer, they could re-possess that which “the devil stole from us’’.
“AWWA has grown strong since its inception in 2013. Its centrality in the Harare Gardens has made it easily accessible to those who reside in the Avenues area and around the Harare CBD.”
Pastor Kudita, who will have Pastor Tashu from Rusape as a guest preacher, said Zimbabweans can overcome the challenges they are facing if they are strong in prayer.

‘‘Peace is our everyday mandate. We love Zimbabwe as our nation, and always pray for peace in our country to continue to prevail.
“It is also our duty as the church to pray for our leaders to have revelation and spiritual understanding,” he said.
In the next three days, prayers and deliverance will be punctuated by song and dance, led by the praise and crew as Christians come together to pray for one cause.
