TINO Kadewere vomited in Real Mallorca’s dressing room on Sunday before being rushed to hospital after suffering from heat stroke.
The drama happened during his team’s La Liga match against Real Sociedad.
The striker was pulled out at the half-time break and stayed in the locker room when the team returned for the second half.
He now says he is feeling better.
In an interview with H-Metro, he said:
“I am feeling much better today (yesterday). I am still at the hospital and might be going back home soon.
“It was really hot and I think I was also catching a fever, so it got worse.
“Right now I’m just waiting for the results.
“If the tests are good, and also it depends on how I will be feeling, then we will know when I will be back.”
Kadewere, who had his fourth start, had played the entire first half before he was rushed to hospital in an ambulance later on.
Mallorca coach, Javier Aguirre, brought on Abdón Prats, in place of the Warriors forward.
He later explained at a press conference the reason behind the change.
“I had planned to stretch Kadewere a little more and have him have more minutes, but he was not successful in the game and, with the heat stroke at half-time, he began to vomit and the change was natural,” the gaffer explained.
The temperatures were just over 20°C during the game in Mallorca but still a big difference when compared to the cold days recorded over the past week.
Sunday’s game was his 13th appearance across all competitions in this campaign.
He missed the opening part of the season due to injury.
The 27-year-old has so far scored twice in the games he has played.
