ZIFM breakfast show presenter Tinopona ‘Tin Tin’ Katsande has been suspended following the leaking of her video sex tape on Monday.
The radio hostess raised alarm and apologised to Zimbabwe before pictures of the sex tape were published by Harare tabloid H-Metro. Sources yesterday said the former Studio 263 actress had been suspended from the year old station as “they alleged she had brought the name of the company into disrepute”.
The pictures published by H-Metro show Katsande in different intimate and compromising positions but her partner’s identity is not known.
Efforts to get comment from Zi-FM management were fruitless as the management referred all questions to the owner of the radio station Supa Mandiwanzira who professed ignorance on the alleged suspension.
“I am sorry I am not in the office and have not been there for some days, I have been attending to my constituency and as we speak now I am attending orientation at Parliament. Please call later maybe I will be having details,” said Mandiwanzira.
However, sources within the Zi-Fm stereo confirmed that indeed Katsande had been suspended. Yesterday, she was not on air on the Ignition Show which she co-hosts with Tonderai ‘TK’ Katsande.
Zi-FM Facebook page was awash with comments from concerned listeners who expressed mixed reactions on the ‘Tin-Tin sex-gate’.
