TINOTENDA Kadewere is back and his boots did the talking!
Despite the Warriors crashing 2-0 to Burkina Faso on Friday, it was Kadewere’s surprise full-game appearance that had tongues wagging, especially head coach Michael Nees.
Making his first start under Nees after a string of injury woes, the striker not only played the full 90 minutes but also left his coach impressed.
“I didn’t expect him to last that long,” said Nees. “The plan was just 60 minutes, but after Khama Billiat came off, Tino stepped up. He showed real quality and stayed sharp. I think he played excellently.”
Kadewere’s gritty return could be a game changer for the Warriors as they rebuild with fresh firepower upfront.
