We are given same opportunities of life and same exposure to the things that can make us to make it or fail in this life. What we do with time and opportunities determines how far we can go with our God-given assignments. The way we handle opportunities when time avails them to us will actually expose the materials and special abilities hidden in us.
Some are said to be better or brilliant than others.
Yes it’s a fact, but there is not much truth in that.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says; “to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under Heaven”. Each and everything that includes the human beings, everyone has his season, a time to maximise his potential and purpose. Many people are living sad and miserable lives because they did not know their seasons and times to showcase their purposes.
I can liken such people to farmers who in Zimbabwe start to do maize seed planting in July without irrigation and they hope to see bumper harvests out of it.
The soil is right, the right seed, but it’s not the time and the season to do such business. Can we say to such farmers God was not on their side if they can’t receive anything from the ground?
No! When some were listening to their teachers in school, some were jumping out of windows and impregnating unfortunate schoolgirls. You see, school time is not time for bedroom affairs and all this window-jumping. Tomorrow if you see one living a better life and the other one living a miserable life you are tempted to think that one between them was never given an opportunity to prepare himself for the future.
God said; “See I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; in that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgements, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it” (Deuteronomy 30:15&16).
Every human being, no matter your background or race, God has created us equal and accorded us the same privileges. No matter how sunken one might seem in poverty, sin, sickness or even disabilities, God is saying before you I am laying life and death!
From the above passage of the scriptures God is even helping us to make the right choice. He wants everyone to choose life. Jesus Himself also came for this reason, to give us life and life in its abundance(John 10:10).
God wants everyone well. He desires to see all humanity fulfilling the assignments He gave them. We are all precious in the eyes of God. You are not better than your neighbour neither, is he better than you.
God loves you equally the same. What makes your neighbour to look as if he is much favoured and better than you, are the right choices he made and the opportunities he seized in the right seasons of his life!
Many folks today are complaining saying life is unfair. Yes life might be unfair, but God is fair and faithful. Before God closes the chapters of our lives,
He always gives us second chances. If you can’t make it on your own in the first, God has given us some men endowed with special abilities which we can take advantage of and lean on until we realise our full potential. What you miss in your realm, it does not necessarily mean it’s not found in this world for you.
Its somewhere out there buried in another man waiting for you to discover that man! We are not independent from others, we need each other. What we don’t have in our lives today, somebody has it for us somewhere. Jesus had Bartimaeus’ eyes with Him, until Bartimaeus knew where and who had his eyes (Mark 10:46-52), that’s when his sight was restored.
The woman who bled had to look for a man carrying her solution. When she found Him, that is when she got healed of her condition of 12 years of suffering (Mark 5:25). There is always a way out from every problem. Israel needed a man to deal with their Goliath.
40 days and nights of abuse at the hands of merciless Goliath took only a split second for Israel to be delivered by one young boy David from the hands of that Satanic warrior(1 Samuel 17). The fact that Saul was a king does not mean that he had a solution to the Goliath problem, he had to look for a man of the moment.
When he killed his pride by searching for a man who is able, that’s when he also found a man whom God had appointed for the hour to also kill the enemy before him. No wonder why many families are suffering today. Being a father at home does not mean you know everything, let’s appreciate the gifts of God buried in our wives and we will quickly realise our full potential as fathers and husbands. If we can only admit and swallow our pride and submit to some men sent by God to us we will reach our destinations successfully.
Prophet Ezekiel in the book of Ezekiel chapter 37, was sent by God Himself to conduct revival in the land of Israel. Men had failed their mandates as soldiers of Israel. They were caught up in a death situation. They had surrendered to the enemy and they were killed.
There was no life in them. They were utter rubbish gathered in a valley, out of town. Left for the birds of the air and the worms, where no living men can be found. God gave these fallen heroes a second chance to live. Their days had gone past and they were recorded in the book of life as failures and fallen heroes of Israel.
God in His infinite mercy and grace raised a revivalist and mandated him to raise the fallen heroes back to life. In the days of Ezekiel, these men found favour in the eyes of God! Ezekiel prophesied to the bones and the bones of these soldiers were brought back to life and they stood up a great army(Ezekiel 37:10).
These soldiers had failed their wives and children as something had begotten them and departed early, but thank God for a man, a prophet who came at the right time for their families! May I remind these soldiers that the life they are living now is not theirs, but Ezekiel’s.
Had it not been for the available prophet who was in good books with the Lord for that time these soldiers’ history was never going to be re-written. What are we doing with those messengers of God who are carrying our parcels from God?
In UFIC we thank God for sending us prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa. Our lives could have ended in so many catastrophic ways. Many were travelling in various directions that led to no man’s land. I could have divorced many years ago, had it not been for the prophet who brought peace to my marriage.
