Tobacco farmers urged to remove stalks

Farmers in Manicaland have been urged to remove tobacco stalks in preparation for next season.

Zimbabwe Farmers Union Manicaland manager, Mr. Dennis Chisevure, said removing tobacco stalks reduces the spread of diseases and pests.

He said diseases and pests threaten the viability of the industry that is contributing immensely to economic growth.
