PRESIDENT Mnangagwa is today presiding over the swearing-in of newly appointed Commissioners to key constitutional bodies, including the Zimbabwe Media Commission, Zimbabwe Gender Commission, Zimbabwe Electoral Commission and Zimbabwe Land Commission, at State House in Harare.
The ceremony brings together the newly appointed Commissioners, senior Government officials and Cabinet Ministers as the appointees formally assume their responsibilities.

The newly appointed members of the Zimbabwe Media Commission are:

Commissioners take oath before President
President Mnangagwa has started administering oaths to the various independent commissioners as set out in the country’s Constitution.
The swearing-in ceremony is being held in batches, and Commissioners from the Zimbabwe Gender Commission, the Zimbabwe Land Commission, and the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission were the first to do so.
The process began with President Mnangagwa citing the constitutional provision that gives legal basis and obligation for an oath to be taken before one can assume office.
Commissioners are reciting their oath before signing their letters of appointment.
