Today’s youth misunderstood

Our generation is now said to be rotten because of the introduction of things that people were not exposed long ago.

Truth be told, it is what is happening in our day to day lives.

We have moved from different eras.

Things are bound to change because times have changed.

We should not dwell in the past but do justice to the wrong doings done in the past.

We are born differently, even from our own parents.

Our values and beliefs are different.

Today’s youth value and believe what they see and what they are told by their parents.

The youths are agile.

We’re capable of doing luminous things that few can think of.

We have the capability to manage our time.

Adults expect us as to do what they did long ago, which is not bad, but some things cannot be dragged from the past.

These norms and values mostly favoured men but now there is gender equality.

Youths do have aspects of responsibility inherited from our parents.

We involve ourselves in community projects as a sign that we are responsible.

There are successful child-headed families, this means we can take up any responsibility.

Of course as youths we do need to listen to adults.

We should take adult advice.

Youths do take adult advice well and we always want to hear it.

However, let us all move with the times and see the differences that time has brought upon us.
