A three-year-old toddler was on Tuesday knocked and killed by a truck on the spot while her parents were reportedly fighting. It is alleged that the parents, Tendai Kasiya and Netsai Ndaba, were involved in a fistfight after the husband, Kasiya did not come home on Monday night. Officer commanding national traffic Senior Assistant Commissioner Felie Mjanga said investigations were underway to determine what caused the fatal accident.

“I confirm that a three-year-old toddler was knocked down and killed while she was crossing the road,” she said. It is alleged that the toddler was following her parents who had crossed Chitungwiza Highway near Mbudzi roundabout fighting.

The couple had reportedly left the toddler alone at home in Hopley.
