Rising star Tony Witness is set to drop the video for his latest single, “Jo” today. The song, officially released on February 21, tells the story of a man falling deeply in love with a girl who is the object of affection for many other guys.

Signed under JBross Entertainment last year, Tony Witness who hails from Victoria Falls has rapidly become a household name in Zimbabwe, particularly known for his unique Afro Fusion sound. “Jo” was recorded at Danica Studios, where Tony honed his craft as a resident producer and songwriter prior to joining JBross Entertainment. The song showcases his talent and reflects the high production standards he upholds.

Tendai Joe, founder and artist manager of JBross Entertainment, expressed high hopes for the success of “Jo”, stating, “We have high hopes for ‘Jo’ to climb the charts, and it would be a remarkable feat for Tony Witness. At this pace, I firmly believe that Tony is destined to make headlines with international collaborations and performances. He possesses the talent to do so.”

At just 24 years old, Tony Witness, also known as Tony Witness Nkomazana, embarked on his musical journey at the age of 21 and has since established himself as a multifaceted artiste, delving into music production, videography, and graphic design. Born and raised in the heart of Victoria Falls, Tony is the youngest child of the late Mr Nkomazana and the only son in his family.

Drawing inspiration from a diverse array of artistes such as Ruger, Rema, Chris Brown, Jah Prayzah, Boy Spyce, Asake, and Diamond Platnumz, Tony Witness has embraced Afro-Fusion as his genre of choice, infusing it with his own unique style and flair. Reflecting on his journey, Tony shared his excitement about the recognition his music has received.

“I’m always thrilled when friends call me, telling me they heard my song on the radio. Just the other day, a friend in a taxi captured ‘Jo’ playing on the radio and sent me the clip. It’s an incredible feeling when your hard work is acknowledged,” he expressed.

Tony Witness is also available for performances at weddings, with his music celebrating love, and “Jo” being a particularly cherished track. Despite the challenges of being an emerging artiste from Victoria Falls, Tony Witness remains resolute in his mission to elevate talent, regardless of an artist’s origin, and to carve out a significant presence for his brand at both the provincial and national levels. – @TashaMutsa
