A STAR-STUDIED line up of artistes is billed to perform at the launch of the new Swan cigarettes in an event which is the first of its kind scheduled for Mutare Showgrounds on Saturday.

The day-long event will kick off with a mini soccer tournament pitting four popular social soccer teams, Diamond FM, Swan FC, Zim Musicians FC and Socc Starts.

Fun lovers from across all ages will see their favourite musicians playing soccer before they perform on stage.

Zim Musicians will play against Socco Stars, while Swan FC will square off with Diamond FM.
The winner of both fixtures will square off in the finals.

The potentially scintillating event is strictly for people above the age of 18 years.

Artistes billed to perform are Winky D, Freeman, Dorcas Moyo, Chillmaster, King Shaddy, Captain Britain, Mamero Dance Crew and Assegai Crew.

The event will be a dream come true to comedian and artiste, Captain Britain, who will be rubbing shoulders with big artistes for the first time in his life in Mutare.

To gain entrance, one is supposed to buy two Swan packs for US$1, while a VIP ticket costs US$20.
In a statement, organisers of the event said it is all systems go.

“We are thrilled to bring our product to Mutare. After the tremendous success of our launch event in Harare, we are excited to continue this journey and introduce our innovative product to the people of Mutare. This launch ceremony is set to be an unforgettable experience, featuring, not only a product unveiling, but also a day full of vibrant festivities, entertainment, and activities that will engage and delight the community.

“With local performances, exciting giveaways, and interactive displays, we are committed to making this celebration a truly immersive experience. We look forward to forging lasting connections with the Mutare community and sharing this significant milestone as we continue to grow and make an impact across the country.”

They said tickets are available at Mutare Booties and Diamond Pharmacies.
