MUSICIANS have come together in the fight against Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
The country is commemorating 16 Days of Activism Against GBV.
Winky D, Ammara Brown, Holy 10, Freeman, Sandra Ndebele and Hwabaraty have collaborated on a song titled Love Shouldn’t Hurt to help advocate for peace.

The song’s lyrics advise people to stay away from all forms of violence.
“Ukaona ruchirova harusi rudo, rudo harurove.
“Tinoda rudo murudo, kwete chikudo murudo,” goes part of one of the verses.
In an interview, Ammara urged the nation to unite towards ending gender-based violence.

“Gender-based violence will one day become gender-based peace.
“When I look back, I will remember that I had the greatest honour to be part of positive change alongside people who share the same passion and pour these dreams into our world.
“What more can one ask for?
“Thank you for taking what we’ve made and implementing it in your own lives.
“Thank you for changing the world with us,” she said.

Ammara also released a song that fights violence last year titled Love Shouldn’t Hurt.
Zimdancehall chanter Freeman said as everyone needs to be part of the movement

“Speak out, when you witness signs or experience GBV.
“Share with friends and family to spread the word.#LoveShouldntHurt #RudoHarurove #UthandoKaluhlukumezi,” he said.
