A battle for top spot is on in the Titan Law bankrolled Bulawayo Metropolitan Cricket Association First League when second placed Bulawayo Athletic Club take on Roosters at BAC this morning. Roosters are well placed on the summit of the local club cricket scene with 23 points, acquired from five wins from the nine matches they have played so far while BAC are second with 19 points, followed in third place by Queens Sports Club with the same number of points while Emakhandeni are at the bottom of the log with 15 points.
Both teams were on the losing end in their respective fixtures played last Sunday. Roosters went down by five wickets to Queens with BAC losing by 124 runs to Emakhandeni.
The last time the two teams met last month, Roosters recorded a big win at the same venue. Roosters however go into the match without Tuskers players Keith Dabengwa, Shoun Handirisi, Godwill Mamhiyo and Nkosana Mpofu. Dabengwa is not available as he is said to be attending to personal issues while the other players are away with Tuskers in Mutare for a Logan Cup fixture against Mountaineers.
