THE top seeds prevailed on day four of the ITF NetOne Features tournament quarter-finals yesterday at Harare Sports Club.
First up was the number two seed, Antal Van Der Duim, who went up against the French Gregoirre Barrere.
There was very little to choose between the two as they won one set each 6-3 and the third set had to go to a tie-breaker, which Van Der Duim won 7-3.

Another Dutchman to secure his spot in the semi-final was the top seed, Boy Westerhof, who beat Nicolaas Scholtz from South Africa in three sets with the third, just like the first, being decided by a tie-breaker. Scholtz hit 18 aces compared to Westerhof’s 12. Scholtz also had seven double faults while the number one seed had six. Fourth seed Tucker Vorster (SA) beat his countryman Ruan Roelofse 6-3, 6-4. Roelofse beat Tinotenda Chanakira on Wednesday.
