Top wheel-spinner for blow-out festival

HARARE’s top wheel-spinners, led by Selekta Base, will converge at Borrowdale Racecourse for the annual Blow-out Burnouts Festival on Sunday.

The event will be held under the theme “A Celebration of Car Culture, Music and Lifestyle”.

Popular stuntmen – Goofa, Fat Cat, Jadah, Ice, Cici Boy, Fuzzy, New Boys, Spin Kid, and Saviour – are set to provide entertainment for the fans.

Fans will be entertained by top emcees, and wheel-spinners, like the Judgment Yard crew, Iroq, Royal DJs, RayDizz,  and Selekta Base.

Musicians Holy 10, Anita Jackson, Shashal and Sainflow are also expected to grace the show.

There will also be music, trail biking, sketch and tattoo artists, static car displays, show and shine competition, sound off, braai, jumping castles and water slides for children’s entertainment.

Selekta Base said it was all systems go.

 “Blowout Festival is an outdoor car racing activity that shows different car stunts where many car spinners showcase their styles that are strictly a preserve for the daring,” he said.

“All ages are expected and our goal is to incorporate companies and give them a chance to market themselves hence we will put companies’ logos on our advertising materials as part of the reach out plan for the event.

“We will have activities for kids, as well, including jumping castles and water slides. 

“It will be a celebration of car culture, music and lifestyle featuring local Djs and artists. BBQ, braai and live instrument entertainment will not be an exception,”  he said.

Some of the sponsors include Betterbrands, Petroleum, Scarfmore Foundation, Infinity Sky, Selekta Base, Fatcat Motors, SEAL and The ZW Motors among others.
