Zimbabwe’s tourism sector continues to scale new heights as scores of international buyers participating in this year’s Sanganai/Hlanganani/Kumbanayi World Tourism Expo descend on the majestic Eastern Highlands ahead of the global showcase.
The visiting buyers, visibly exhilarated, have embarked on an exploratory tour of Mount Nyangani and surrounding attractions — an experience that is fast reaffirming Nyanga’s position as a key pillar in the country’s tourism portfolio.
On Monday, Zimpapers Business Hub encountered tourists beaming with enthusiasm.

The guests from across the globe are enjoying the climb and panoramic vistas, cementing Mount Nyanga as a strategic and sought-after destination for both leisure and adventure tourism.
In a major boost to Destination Zimbabwe, a delegation of Indian travel and tourism operators is already on the ground, undertaking a comprehensive familiarisation tour designed to showcase the rich tourism potential of the region.
“A group of nine companies (International Buyers) from India is in Zimbabwe for the Sanganai/Hlanganani Kumbanayi Tourism Expo, participating in tours across the breathtaking Eastern Highlands and experiencing highlights such as World’s View, Nyamuziwa Falls and Mt Nyangani, while encountering wildlife like wildebeest in Nyanga National Park.

“Their familiarisation tour includes visits to premier hospitality establishments such as Troutbeck Resort, Montclaire, and Mountain Lakes, offering firsthand insight into the region’s accommodations,” the Tourism Ministry Deputy Director Communications and Advocacy Miss Norah Takaindisa said.
Sanganai/Hlanganani/Kumbanayi World Tourism Expo is organised by Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry and Zimbabwe Tourism Authority.
The strategic engagement is part of broader efforts by the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry to promote Zimbabwe as a world-class travel destination and drive inbound tourism through immersive experiences.

The presence of international buyers in the heart of Manicaland — ahead of the main Expo — is seen as a vote of confidence in Zimbabwe’s hospitality infrastructure, natural beauty, and warm cultural heritage.
As the countdown to Sanganai/Hlanganani/Kumbanayi gathers pace, the positive reception from foreign buyers signals a strong resurgence for the tourism sector, which remains a key pillar of the national economy and a major source of employment.
With global interest mounting and strategic marketing bearing fruit, Zimbabwe is firmly on course to reclaim its rightful place on the international tourism map.
