Tout offers $15 upkeep for daughter, 4

A TOUT yesterday offered $15 maintenance for his four-year-old daughter.

Jethro Sihoma of Bulawayo’s Old Lobengula suburb told magistrate Tinashe Tashaya that he could not afford $150 demanded by his ex-lover Ntombizodwa Mafu of Bulawayo’s Iminyela suburb.

Sihoma told magistrate Tashaya that he was not a kombi driver as claimed by Mafu, but a tout realising about $5 per day.

“Your worship I’m a tout and I make only $5 per day. I don’t own a kombi. The vehicle belongs to my parents who stay in the rural areas. It’s under my name though. I’m married to another woman and I’ve two children with her,” said Sihoma.

Magistrate Tashaya ordered Sihoma to pay $75 every month.

Tashaya told Sihoma that he was not being truthful about his finances.

Mafu told the court that Sihoma owned a kombi.

“I want $150 maintenance for our daughter. I’m not employed. He owns a kombi and he can afford to maintain his child. We have since separated. I know him as a kombi driver,” she said
