Touts run amok at Cemetery

THERE was chaos at West Park Cemetery last Wednesday when touts during the burial of a colleague started speeding and skidding around the cemetery as a way of giving the deceased a befitting send-off.

In the process, they hit parked cars and injured mourners.

Sources who were at the cemetery at the same time with the burial of the tout, Taruvha Nheya, revealed that they had to scurry for cover.

It is reported that workers had forbidden the commuter omnibus operators from gaining entry into the graveyard, but the unruly crowd used another gate for entrance.

A tout reportedly climbed on top of the hearse and urinated all over the car.

a�?One of the touts reportedly climbed on top of the hearse before removing his trousers and urinating pointing his manhood to all directions as if it was a horse pipe.

a�?A Honda fit which had entered through the other gate skidded multiple times and it collided with a white twin cab.

In no time a woman was hit by another car as people were running away,a�? said a source.

The injured woman was reportedly rushed to Mpilo hospital.

When B-Metro visited the deceaseda�?s family, they confirmed the reports and identified the injured woman as Sinanzeni Sibanda.

a�?The car was skidding dangerously it could have killed Sibanda. People trembled on top of her as they were running away. Even at home my brothera��s colleagues destroyed the durawall,a�? said Nobuhle Nheya.

When contacted, Sibanda said she sustained serious injuries on her knees.

a�?I am at Mpilo hospital where I am receiving treatment as I sustained serious injuries on my thighs, knees and hips,a�? she said.

Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Simango confirmed the incident.

a�?We received a report of a motorist who was skidding at West Park Cemetery and injured people,a�? she said.
