DYNAMOS might not encounter challenges of hosting their CAF Confederation Cup match on foreign soil, as they have been offered a smooth landing in Botswana by Township Rollers.
DeMbare will host Zambian side ZESCO United in a preliminary round first leg at the National Stadium in Gaborone on August 18.
The Harare giants have already dispatched an advance team to Botswana.
Township Rollers, who are bankrolled by Zimbabwean businessman Tendani Sebata, will be fighting in their corner.
“Township Rollers will assist Dynamos to settle. Dynamos will also be free to use our training facilities and we will also assist them with other logistical issues,” Sebata told Zimpapers Sport.
Sebata was born and bred in rural Beitbridge.
He acquired an 80 percent in Township Rollers, Botswana’s most successful football club, in June.
“I am a Zimbabwean with a strong desire to see Zimbabwean football develop,” says Sebata.
“We have a club in Botswana and I feel Dynamos, being a team from my country, should enjoy the benefit.”
Dynamos chief executive, Jonathan Mashingaidze, is already in Gaborone for inspection of grounds, hotels and other logistical infrastructure.
“The event management machinery has been activated with an organising committee put together comprising Dynamos FC officials and two Zimbabweans based in Gaborone,” revealed Mashingaidze.
“The Committee is chaired by the treasurer Mr Justice Mubayi with Mr David Chikomo, the executive committee member for marketing, deputising him.
“The organising committee will oversee marketing, match day ticketing, engagement of service providers for transport, tickets, accommodation, training venues, match day venue, advertising, VVIP hospitality, security and medical services.”
