Tragic accident claims one life, injures two at Boka

A tragic accident on Masvingo Road near Boka in Harare resulted in the death of one pedestrian and injured two others on Saturday.

Mirriam Tambudzayi, the deceased, suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two pedestrians also sustained head injuries and were quickly transported to Sally Mugabe Central Hospital for treatment.

The incident involved two vehicles: a Mercedes-Benz truck from which the trailer detached, colliding with a Toyota Hiace transporting 13 passengers. The force of the trailer caused the Toyota Hiace to veer off the road and strike the three pedestrians.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
