Training for vaccine roll-out starts

THE training of health workers on how to administer Covid-19 vaccines has begun, ahead of the first inoculations set to be administered later this week.

The three-day virtual training programme, which commenced Tuesday, is being conducted by the Ministry of Health and Child Care, the World Health Organisation (WHO) in co-ordination with immunisation partners.

In her presentation at the training workshop, Director for Epidemiology and Disease Control in the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Dr Portia Manangazira, said: “The training will ensure health workers are also equipped with the right information to administer the vaccine and also provide communities with the necessary information about this vaccine.”
