Transmedia Corporation board members and management have signed integrity pledges, reaffirming their commitment to ethical leadership and transparency.
The event, which was presided over by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission in Harare on Wednesday, underscored how collaboration between state institutions and oversight bodies can embed integrity into organisational culture, inspiring confidence among citizens.
Transmedia Corporation Chairperson Engineer Lawrence Nkala said that the signing of the integrity pledges is a reaffirmation of Transmedia’s duty to uphold ethical conduct and responsible leadership.
“Today’s ceremony is more than a formal signing of pledges; it is a reaffirmation of our commitment as the board and management to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct,” he said.
“Let us lead by example and foster an organisational culture where integrity is embedded in every process, in every decision, and indeed in every interaction.”
Transmedia Corporation CEO Engineer Adonia Mushosho linked integrity to biblical principles and cited (1 Samuel 12:3–5).
He urged that the pledges must translate into daily practice and organisational culture.
“The pledges we have signed must be reflected in our daily decisions, our interactions with one another, and the service that we provide to all our stakeholders,” he said.
ZACC Principal Compliance and Systems Review Officer Mr Magobeya Princewell emphasised ZACC’s constitutional mandate and the need for collective responsibility in fighting corruption.
“It is a different approach whereby institutions reach to us to say, ‘Can you come and collaborate with us in terms of how we can improve in line with best practices, corporate governance, and making sure that integrity is embedded as part of our organisational culture,” he said.
“Fighting corruption requires a holistic approach, where we put all hands-on deck, where we request and also accept the involvement, participation, continuous engagement of institutions and the general citizens.”
