THE Travellers band showcased a high level of maturity on stage as they rocked the first Friyay at Alliance on Friday night at the Alliance Française in Harare.
The band interacted well with the audience and easily adapted to situations, technical issues, or the audience’s reaction.
Their type of music does not attract huge crowds but the band did not disappoint as the crowd danced and sang along to some of their songs.
The crowd went wild when the band sang “Jolene,” a song by Dolly Parton.
The concert also featured Saxo Pash. Saxo Pash has performed at major festivals like Miombo Magic, Shoko Festival, HIFA, Jacaranda Festival, and Dana B Happyness Cooperative.
He has done collaborations with artists like Mann Friday, Mazula, 3rd Wave, Tanga WekwaSando, Chikwata 263, Sylent Nqo and AfriKera Arts Trust.
For people who love mature crowds, the event was definitely an unforgettable experience.
The Friyay music show, which is held monthly, has become a celebration of the diverse yet interconnected musical traditions across Africa.
The event highlights the mission of the Alliance Française in Harare, which promotes the French language and celebrates cultural diversity in the country.
The events bring together musicians from various genres and backgrounds because Alliance Française promotes inclusivity and artistic exchange, enriching the local cultural landscape.
