IT was a share of the spoils at Gibbo yesterday after Harare City came from behind to force a draw in this Castle Lager Premiership match.
The visitors should have won this match, but were wasteful in front of goal. The hosts were the first to score after they were handed a dubious penalty by Mutare-based referee Lazarus Dirwai in the first half.
Nhamo Lameck’s converted from the spot in the 37th minute.
Harare City’s outstanding player, Ishmael Wadi, restored parity five minutes after the break.
“I saw two very competitive teams, they were never given the chance to express themselves (by the referee),” said Triangle coach Taurai Mangwiro.
His counterpart Mark Harrison said his men could have easily won the match.
“I feel we should have won the game, we created five very good chances in the opening 20 minutes, we should have at least scored three,” he said.
“We are feeling aggrieved by the penalty decision against us. It happens a lot, I can’t really comment too much otherwise I will get into trouble.
“What can I say, it’s football in Zimbabwe, I guess, disappointing.”
