TRIANGLE United has advanced to the final of the inaugural Champions of Champions tournament after defeating Kwekwe United 5-4 in a nail-biting penalty shootout at Bata Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The match had ended 1-1 after regulation time, with Elton Njini putting Kwekwe United ahead in the 10th minute. Roland Makiwa equalised late in the second half, sending the match to penalties.

In the shootout, David Chipo, Simbarashe Chimanikire, and Nesbert Gwede successfully converted their kicks for Kwekwe United, while Tirimboyi Cheremani struck the woodwork. Triangle United’s Thabani Kamusoko, Jameson Mukombwe, Ali Sadiki, Joel Kwekwele, and Menford Mudzimu all scored their penalties to secure the win.
The other semi-final will feature Scottland and ZPC Hwange.
