THE Triashill community in Mutasa Central constituency has taken the responsibility of fundraising to purchase new tryes for the local hospital’s sole ambulance.
In a communique meant to raise awareness about the initiative, the Triashill Alumni Executive Committee enlisted the assistance of well-wishers toward the initiative.
“After receiving news that the ambulance at Triashill Mission Hospital was grounded due to worn out tyres that rendered it unsafe to drive, the executive committee visited to find a way of assisting as part of the alumni social responsibility obligations.
“Realising the urgency the executive resolved to engage members to freely donate any amount toward the purchasing of five new tryes for the mission ambulance. Quotations sourced from the hospital and renowned suppliers indicated a total of US$637.
“Let us try hard and honour this moral duty that is urgently calling upon us as members of the broad Triashill community. The ambulance is vital for the wellbeing of our community. Those willing to donate can deposit any amount in the POSB Account Number 500005149074 or ecocash treasurer Tendai Manhinde on 0776028555,” reads the communique.
