AN 18-year-old man and two juveniles aged 15 and 11 have been arrested for robbing a boy of $50. Kudakwashe Ncube of 2235 1st Street in Makokoba and the two juveniles from the same suburb were not asked to plead to robbery when they appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Mr Tawanda Muchemwa on Wednesday.
They were remanded to Monday.

Ncube was remanded in custody while the two minors were remanded in the custody of their guardians who were warned to bring them to court or be risk being arrested together with the accused.

The State would seek to prove that sometime last month, the three allegedly pounced on the complainant aged 17 from the same suburb along 3rd Avenue Extension.

The court was told that the three allegedly violently took away the $50, which his grandmother had given him to buy some medication.
It is alleged that after taking the money, the three started throwing stones at the complainant to chase him away.

The court was told that the complainant later spotted his assailants in the suburb and alerted the police who arrested them.
Only $5 was recovered.
