THREE Harare women have been accused of using a bus to transport dagga worth approximately $27 million from South Africa disguised as groceries.

Brenda Chivayo, Unique Kasenza and Stella Musokeri were arrested and charged with unlawfully dealing in dangerous drugs.

Acting on a tip-off from a Best Logistics Bus manager last Sunday, police went to Highglen bus terminus and found people off-loading their luggage, but no one collected two 60-litre plastic containers.

When the containers were opened, they were found filled with the drugs covered by some groceries.

The cops seized the two containers and advised the manager and the bus crew to immediately inform them if anyone came to claim the containers.

The trio arrived the next day to claim the containers and they were arrested.

The dagga weighed 33kgs.
