Dendera musician Tryson Chimbetu’s birthday celebrations begin tonight when he performs at Junction 24 along Harare-Chitungiza Road. He will be supported by upcoming dancehall musician Looga Diamond.The Zimbabwe Red Cross Society Youth Advocate turned 26 on Monday.
The musician’s manager Traicos Mutodzaniswa said they would celebrate with their fans at Junction 24 before having another event in Mabvuku.
“Tryson will be celebrating with his fans at Junction 24 before we have another function in Mabvuku on Saturday afternoon,” he said.
He said Tryson will deliver a special birthday message to his fans and unveil a new song to celebrate the day he was born.
“He celebrated his birthday already but this would be the first time for him to celebrate with his fans. He has something to unveil at the show and he will drop a surprise track. Some of his loyal fans have also promised to bring surprises to the show.”
Tavepi Madzingira of Junction 24 said they would celebrate with Tryson in a special way.
“Everyone is happy to turn a year older. We have an exciting programme on the day and it will be a special birthday for him,” he said.
ZRCS public relations officer Takemore Mazuruse said, as part of the celebrations, people will get free medication for minor illnesses at the Mabvuku show.
“They will pay a small amount to gain entrance at the gate but they will get free medication at the show,” said Mazuruse.
He said dancehall musician of the moment Tocky Vibes will be part of the performing acts on Saturday.
