DENDERA musician Tryson Chimbetu says has been accepted back into his community after finally conquering his drug addiction.
The talented artist said those battling drug and substance abuse needed support from their communities.
In an interview with H-Metro, Tryson said he was grateful to his Glen View community for the help they gave him during his time in the darkness.
“For many people struggling with addiction, the toughest move towards recovery is the first one. What I can tell people who are battling addiction is for them to first recognise that they have a problem and you decide to make a change.
“It’s normal to feel uncertain about whether you’re ready to start your recovery, or if you have what it takes to quit.
“If you’re addicted to a prescription drug, you may be concerned about how you’re going to find an alternative way to treat the condition.
“It involves changing many things,” he said.
Tryson celebrated his good health with a fine performance at Food Nest Restaurant at Longcheng Plaza at the weekend.
He was also delighted to grace his brother Sulu Chimbetu’s show over the weekend at Mushandirapamwe Hotel which was supported by Tatenda and Esau Macheso
