A man who was in the habit of sleeping with his neighboura��s wife was tied to a tree before a thrashing session.
A police source revealed that Geshom Moyo (24) and Fortune Chokufaa��s wife Lindiwe Tshuma were madly in love. They had been at it since March this year but Chokufa found out a fortnight ago.
Chokufa and his friend Mlondlozi Sibanda then tracked down Moyo to teach him a lifetime lesson.
They caught him at his homestead at aroundA� 4.30pm last Saturday. It is said they tied him to a tree and thrashed him with a heavy leather whip (sjambok) all over the body until he passed out.
They left him there until a neighbour ferried him to Nkayi district hospital. A police report was made under case number 56/11/17 leading to the arrest of the two. They are expected to appear in court to face assault charges.
Efforts to get a comment from Matabeleland North police spokesperson Siphiwe Makonese were fruitless. . .
