CHAMPIONSHIP favourites Tsholotsho FC have a chance to shoot to the top of the Zifa Southern Region Division One Soccer League this afternoon when they play host to Mpumalanga United at Tsholotsho Business Centre.
Tsholotsho FC have amassed 23 points and are just two points behind table toppers Ntabazinduna who have played two more games.
Lizwe Sweswe, the Tsholotsho FC coach is wary of his opponents and has challenged his troops to guard against complacency. “Of course we have managed to beat some of the top teams and now what we have to do is to continue with our form. Mpumalanga are a good side and we expect a tricky tie and I have been telling my players that this is a marathon and we are yet to reach the half way mark. We have to concentrate throughout the season,” said Sweswe.
Former champions Plumtree Chiefs will field striker Tedious Mugumanya and Innocent Kutsanzira – who have been trying their luck at Highlanders – when they face New West at White City this afternoon.
